Fire Cider

What is it?

Fire Cider is Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) infused with all kinds of goodness that has been passed down through time from herbalist to herbalist.  Foundational ingredients are horseradish, ginger, garlic and onion. From there different blends are created depending on intention of use and/or what is currently available in the garden/apothecary. Each time I have made Fire Cider it has turned out a bit different and I have had a lot of fun making unique creations with a balance of tangy tartness & spicy sweetness :)

Benefits!

SO MANY!!!! From gastrointestinal problems to heartburn, ACV has also been used for mental clarity, energy, immune health and a variety of first-aid measures. A remedy for colds, coughs, respiratory issues and even seasonal depression, this daily tonic is deeply warming and decongesting. In addition to acetic acid, ACV contains many of the same nutrients as the apples it is made from; B1, B2, B6, C, biotin, folic acid, niacin, as well as small amounts of sodium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and soluble fiber! These nutrients work together to make ACV an effective all-purpose health tonic.

How to use:

Many like to take this like a tonic (something that is used regularly that builds up in your system) by taking a TBS or two daily. It is generally recommended to dilute it in water (warm or cool), juice or tea; undiluted ACV can erode tooth enamel. If you feel a cold coming on take it by the tsp throughout the day. Add it to recipes, marinades or salad dressings. Have a specific ailment? Let me know and I would be happy to guide you towards the best way to use it as a remedy.

Storage

ACV has a long shelve life. Please store in a cool dark place for up to 1 year, even longer if stored in the fridge!
